Account Manager

GENERAL FUNCTION:

Growing and maintaining a profitable portfolio of print and direct mail accounts. Under general supervision, and with regular review, the Account Manager is responsible for making a high volume of telephone calls to potential customers and solicits orders for Modern Postcard’s products and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Identifies potential customers from inbound web inquires, advertising responses, walk-ins and trade shows. Responds to inquiries and solicits new business via telemarketing.
  2. Makes 40-60 outbound calls per day to generate sales.
  3. Meets and exceed sales goals set by management specifically related to Print, List and Mail Revenue.
  4. Records and tracks lead activity in through Modern Postcard Sales systems.
  5. Identify new customers that qualify for account management.
  6. Establish relationships with existing accounts and reactivate eroded accounts.
  7. Introduce, Negotiate and Close complex print and direct mail campaigns.
  8. Creates custom price estimates and sets up timely follow up through Modern Postcard sales systems.
  9. Strong focus on upselling Modern Postcard supplemental services.
  10. Focus on closing 10+ new orders/day with timely follow up and appointment setting.
  11. Coordinate with internal resources to support production process, address customer concerns and objections.
  12. Attends trade shows as needed (less than 5%)

EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience. Prior sales experience (5 years or more) in print or digital marketing is a plus.
  2. Consultative Sales style and Relationship Building skills.
  3. Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  4. Strong conversational phone skills.
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  6. Excellent follow up and attention to detail.
  7. Ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment.
  8. Knowledge of MS Office and other CRM computer programs.

Marketing Program Manager

GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Marketing Program Manager is a business-to-business generalist position, responsible for developing, implementing, executing and tracking a variety of marketing programs to support the growth and expansion of the company’s products and services. The role focuses on the entire life-cycle of the customer, from prospecting, lead nurturing, acquisition and retention. The role is responsible for the planning and implementation of various online and offline marketing programs including: digital marketing (email, social, landing pages, search, display etc.), direct mail, events, sponsorships and sales collateral. They will also be responsible for reporting based on the results of these programs in addition to high-level marketing analytics.

With limited supervision, the position is responsible for start-to-finish planning, scheduling, preparation, implementation, and reporting, working directly with other team-mates – within and outside the marketing department – to complete the initiatives. The position reports to the Senior Marketing Manager, and interacts frequently with leaders and contributors in Sales, Production, IT, and within the entire marketing team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. With limited supervision develops ideas, schedules, resource allocation, and budgets for marketing programs including, but not limited to, direct mail, email, digital, sales support, events, print advertising, customer reviews, surveys, sponsorship programs, etc.
  2. Develop and drive go-to-market strategies for specific industry verticals such as medical, retail, and hospitality
  3. Manages execution of various customer retention multi-channel efforts
  4. Works with Inside and Corporate Sales teams to coordinate and develop processes, playbooks and collateral to enhance their performance and the overall customer experience
  5. Manages and maintains an active project calendar, consistently communicating progress, status and issues
  6. Contributes content for ongoing internal and external communications.
  7. Maintains a current and thorough knowledge of the direct mail and email processes, timelines, and resources required to complete projects
  8. Develops and maintains relationships internally to drive projects through the organization, including production resources
  9. Develops and maintains relationships with external vendors and suppliers as needed.
  10. Maintains key defined reports and tracking systems, making recommendations to IT for further marketing technology support
  11. Continually investigates and learns about new tactics, ideas, technology, trends, and marketing case studies to share the knowledge with the team and use in marketing work
  12. Hits deadlines and budgets on assigned projects
  13. Attends and/or facilitates meetings as needed/directed
  14. Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications and/or related business field
  2. 5+ years of experience in business-to-business marketing
  3. Must be familiar with a variety of marketing concepts, practices and procedures including customer acquisition and retention as well as industry vertical strategies
  4. Strong history of executing direct mail marketing campaigns
  5. Experience with email marketing and digital marketing programs
  6. Demonstrated project management skills including scheduling, budgeting, and production
  7. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  8. Familiarity with the processes and terminology of printing is an advantage
  9. Highly skilled in the use of computer software including the internet, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Project (or equivalent)
  10. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively, both in oral and written communications
  11. Ability to work with and motivate creative, operational, marketing and technical people in an effective manner
  12. Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment, handling changing priorities and demands
  13. Some travel may be required

Mailing Services Production Technician

Under direct supervision and with detailed instructions is responsible for operating and maintaining mail addressing systems and associated equipment for the purpose of preparing Mailing Services jobs for delivery to the Post Office. Meets deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Sets up and operates addressing and other mailing equipment.
  2. Sorts and bands mail according to post office mailing requirements.
  3. Prepares mailings and postal paperwork for delivery to Post Office.
  4. Operates forklift to move mail and other items in warehouse and shipping dock.
  5. Performs daily and periodic maintenance on equipment.
  6. Boxes and ships extra cards back to clients.
  7. Pulls samples of printed cards for Mailing Services Representatives.
  8. Maintain work area in a clean and tidy manner.
  9. Other duties as assigned and/or required.

 

EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent with up to 2 years of work experience in a mail house environment.
  2. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  3. Ability to read and interpret operating and maintenance instructions.
  4. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to twenty pounds.
  5. Basic computer skills.
  6. Basic math skills.

Shipping and Bindery Operator l

Under direct supervision and with detailed instruction is responsible for performing standard bindery procedures and shipping requirements on printed cards in accordance to job specifications. Meets deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Performs standard bindery functions including cutting, folding, booklet making, band-wrapping, and boxing orders according to job specifications.
  2. Processes customer orders for shipping by creating air bills and shipping labels based on designated delivery carrier specifications.
  3. Follows quality control procedures to include checking press sheet for imperfections such as press hickies, offset color, and incorrect bleeds.
  4. Cleans bindery area as needed.
  5. Operates forklift to move materials.
  6. Assists Shipping/Bindery Lead as needed.
  7. Other duties as assigned and/or needed.

 

EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Good verbal communication skills.
  3. Basic computer skills.
  4. General mechanical ability.
  5. Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  6. Ability to multi-task.
  7. Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
  8. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
