Ask Our Experts – Should I Put A Picture On My Postcard?
Question: Should I put a picture on my postcard?
Answer: People are hit with literally hundreds if not thousands of marketing messages every day. As a marketer, our job is to stand out and try to get our message acted upon. In order to do this, we must capture a prospect’s attention and create relevancy with that person.
Probably the most effective way to do this is with a photo or image. The old saying “A picture is worth a thousand words” holds true here. I have seen effective campaigns were 2-3 very large, bold words such as “STOP LOSING MONEY” might replace a photo, but works perfectly as a graphic image.
Many people will think it’s necessary to use a picture of their product or something that closely relates to the message but in reality, your main goal is to capture attention and get people to read your piece.
